Mission Statement

Welcome to APPNA Connecticut Chapter

Hafsa M. Nawaz, MD
President, CTAPPNA 2026

Dear CTAPPNA Members, Friends, and Supporters,
As we embark on a new year, I am deeply honored to serve as President of CTAPPNA for 2026. I step into this role with sincere gratitude for the dedication and leadership of those who came before me, and with great enthusiasm for what we can continue to build together. CTAPPNA has long stood for connection, advocacy, and service by bringing together physicians of Pakistani descent while remaining firmly committed to our broader responsibility to care for all communities. Our shared heritage strengthens us, but our mission extends beyond identity to equity, compassion, and excellence in healthcare for every patient we serve. As President, my goal is to strengthen this foundation while expanding opportunities for engagement, mentorship, and collaboration across generations of physicians. I hope to foster partnerships that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and to amplify our collective voice as advocates, leaders, and healers. In the coming year, I look forward to focusing on: • Fostering mentorship and professional development for medical students and early-career physicians • Enhancing physician advocacy and representation at the local and state levels • Building inclusive, collaborative relationships with professional and community organizations • Creating meaningful programs that promote healthcare access, education, and service for diverse populations I hope we can make the biggest difference by working together and supporting each other. I look forward to working alongside our executive team, members, and partners as we continue to advance CTAPPNA’s mission with empathy, integrity, and purpose. Thank you for your trust and support. I am truly excited for the year ahead.
Warm regards,
Hafsa M. Nawaz, MD
